How to Edit a Page in Gutenberg
Step 1: Log into WordPress
- Go to your WordPress dashboard (e.g.,
yourwebsite.com/wp-admin) - Enter your username and password
Step 2: Go to Pages
- On the left-hand menu, click “Pages”
- Click “All Pages”
Step 3: Select the Page to Edit
- Find the page you want to update
- Click the page title or “Edit”
Step 4: Understand the Gutenberg Editor
- Content is organized into blocks (text, images, headings, buttons, etc.)
- Click on any block to edit its content
- Use the right-hand settings panel for block customization (alignment, colors, size, etc.)
Step 5: Edit Existing Content
- Click inside a text block to type or update text
- Click images to replace or adjust them
- Use the toolbar above each block for quick edits (bold, alignment, links, etc.)
Step 6: Add New Content
- Click the “+” (Add Block) button
- Choose a block (Paragraph, Image, Heading, Button, etc.)
- Insert and customize it as needed using the panel on the right side, which is accessed by clicking on the block.
Step 7: Rearrange Blocks
- Drag and drop blocks, or use the up/down arrows to move them
Step 8: Preview Changes
- Click “Preview” (top right) to see how the page looks before publishing
Step 9: Save or Update
- Click “Update” to save your changes
